Black-stamped design and house vignette to green cloth over board; brown & cream patterned endpapers; 28 b&w illustrated plates of buildings, many with floorplans; near fine. Authored by a renowned architectural firm established in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1873, the brothers, George and Charles, moved the firm to New York around 1882. They were a popular source for residential architectural plans nationwide. Advertisements following text include for the author architects with testimonials, and illustrated ads for architectural goods including: boilers, furnaces, hardware, marble, mortar, skylights. terra cotta, tiles, wallpapers, window sashes, and two pp for paint, both with small paint samples onlaid.
