This is the biography of Patricia Nixon as told by her daughter Julie. Patricia Nixon was born in a miner’s shack in Nevada. Orphaned in high school, she had to care for two brothers, the house, and the family truck farm. Through perseverance and independence, she was able to eventually make enough money to go to college and become a teacher. While trying out for the local theater, she met Richard Nixon and they eventually married. Nixon recalls what life was like through numerous election campaigns and during Watergate as well as being a wife and mother.
